Future Movie Quotes

Future Movie Quotes

The Militant
-It seems those who know more about Christianity are those who are bent in destroying it...

The Priest
-The time is now. The Church seems scattered and shattered. Yet when we are weak, it's when we are strong, for His power is made perfect in weakness (cf. 2 Cor 12:9). Let the world turn as dark as it can, because "the night is darkest just before the dawn," and even the darkest night does not compare to the Sun. Let the Son shine on though each one of you!

Others
But they won't listen. Not to faith, because it's scientific. Not to science because it doesn't have feelings. My will be done, on earth, as there is no heaven or hell...

Religious or Atheistic Crimes?

@J1Militans Part 1 / 5

I dont think i've claimed that all religouse people have done evil things, in fact i dont think i've even claimed that all religions have done evil things.

About what you said about Dawkins.
I would not say that religion if the root of all evil, however religion causes alot of harm, or you might even say, causes alot of evil, if you want to use that word. :)

About Hitchens.
I would actually agree with him, wars have been fought it the name of religion / God.

@J1Militans part 2 / 5

However they have never been done so in ''the name of atheism''. People are motivated by their believes, not the other way around. Its not like people are going around killing each others and yelling stuff like ''in the name of disbelief of a magic elf under Jacobs bed, we will win this war'', that would be just silly :P

Sure atheist have started wars, and done horrible deeds, however that has nothing to do with their atheism.

Turha101 has replied to your comment on Christopher Hitchens Vs Dinesh D'Souza (What's So Great About God?) (Part 1):
@J1Militans part 3 / 5

You cant really compare concepts like, freedom, justice, or equality to religion, they are not even remotly simular.

Atheism is merely a position, to the question about theism, it has nothing to do with anything else, than the question about if a someone believes in a God.
To say something like atheistic regimes, is missleading, since atheism has nothing to do with it.

@J1Militans part 4 / 5

Sure there are some i ideologies, that are by the very definition not theistic, therfore atheistic, like communism, but that has nothing to do with atheism.
What Dinesh is basicly trying to do, is point a finger at atheist, and make it seem like atheism would somehow be bad.

An atheist, is simply someone who is NOT a theist, how can something like that, motivate you to do anything?

@J1Militans part 5
To give you an simple example of how, well dumb, it is to blame anything on atheism
I have a pink small gorilla under my bed
But look at all the none believers in the small pink gorilla, look at what they have done, they have murdered alot of humans, they have gone to war, they have raped women.
If i said something like this, would you then defend / hold the same position? Also would you think that any wars have been started, because of the disbelief of the small pink gorilla?

The Catholic Church and the Latter Days Saints Church

I'm having a discussion with a member of the LDS Church and I am inviting him to discuss matters here since debating on YouTube can be very, very tedious with limited space and having to check back at the comments over and over again...

Let's see if he replies.

I'll post some of the last comments here so we can continue on our discussion here.

This Blog is open to anyone to post, no Google Account required though highly recommended!

PaX. God bless.

Religious practice would have positive profound implications

Back to School...and Church

As your children return to school, you may want to take a moment to ponder new research that points the way to academic success. Proverbs 1:7 tells us "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." FRC's Senior Fellow Pat Fagan has released new data demonstrating this moral truth.

Students involved in religious activities have higher GPAs, by 14.4 percent than those not involved, and spend more time on their homework. Additionally, church is one of few readily accessible institutions for lower-income families, making its effect on children's academic success particularly significant. Religious activity remains important in higher education, where over 75 percent of students who become more committed to their faith during their college years perform above average.

The study concludes that religious practice would have profound implications for world economies and societies if religious practice were to have a significantly positive role in education. I believe that change must begin in our own churches and families before we see our society truly transformed.

Truth Leaker, Abortion, and YouTube

Recently a video regarding abortion was taken down from TruthLeaker's channel.
Here is what YouTube said:

ATTENTION

The following video(s) from your account have been disabled for violation of the YouTube Community Guidelines:

  • What does an abortion look like? - (TruthLeaker)

Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed in YouTube videos. And even though people do get hurt and it’s inevitable that these events may be documented on YouTube, it’s not okay to post violent or gory content that’s primarily intended to be shocking, sensational or disrespectful. If your video shows someone being physically hurt, attacked, or humiliated, it will be removed. If a video is particularly graphic or disturbing, it should be balanced with additional educational or documentary context and information.

----

Now, is YouTube accepting that "someone [is] being physically hurt, attacked, or humiliated, it will be removed."

If so, then we are accepting that the fetus is a "someone," that is, a person!

But, most likely YouTube was talking about the last part, "a video is particularly graphic or disturbing."

Then again, YouTube has said that such video must be "balanced with additional educational or documentary context and information."
Very well. Let's do some homework and help users like TruthLeaker to be able to post such graphic pictures and videos by "balancing" them with statistics and studies about abortion.

Heck, we don't even have to explicitly say abortion is wrong, just put some facts, some images and video footage, and let's see what YouTube does!
