The Catholic Church and the Latter Days Saints Church

I'm having a discussion with a member of the LDS Church and I am inviting him to discuss matters here since debating on YouTube can be very, very tedious with limited space and having to check back at the comments over and over again...

Let's see if he replies.

I'll post some of the last comments here so we can continue on our discussion here.

This Blog is open to anyone to post, no Google Account required though highly recommended!

PaX. God bless.

    The catholic church is not the church that Jesus Christ set up on the earth but it is an imposter counterfeit church of smoke and mirrors with pedophile priests, and Pope Ratzinger is an advocate of pedophilia.

    @LDS4Life71 Oh, really? Says who? You? So you're infallible then, eh? And how come that the LDS (Latter Day Saints Church) was founded on 1830, 1830 years after Christ, and 330 years after the Reformation...? If you ask me, common sense does not dictate that your church is the true church... Just a fact of history. I mean, Jesus didn't tell John Smith on Matthew 16:18 that He would found His Church upon him! My version of the Bible says it was to St. Peter... hmm...

    @J1Militans 1 Timothy 4:2-3 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

    3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from eating meat which God hath created to be recieved with thanks of them which believe and know the truth.

    @LDS4Life71 Ok, again, I believe 1 Tim 4:2-3 with my whole heart, 100%, but I see that you're in grave error with your fallible interpretation. Again. Is your interpretation infallible? Because look, "forbidding to marry," and yet the Church forbids NO ONE to marry, and in fact there ARE married priests, and in fact, married deacons, and in fact, the Church does not force a person to be a priest. Furthermore, the Church does not command to abstain from eating meat... See your folly?

  4. “I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

    “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:29–30).

  5. I am suggesting the pope and the priests of the Catholic church are not living the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that the Catholic church is NOT the same organization that Christ set up on the earth. Paul warned in his epistles, that the apostate church could be recognized by refusing some to marry. Could this mean priests? I believe it does.

    2 Thesalonians 2:3 For that day [second coming] shall not come except there come a falling away [apostacy] from the truth first.

    @J1Militans The rock is the revelation that Peter recieved because he was an ordained apostle, and his authority as well as the rest of the apostles were martyred and their authority was killed off with them, and revelation stopped.

    The apostles and there were to be TWELVE, NOT ONE to be the foundation of the church.

    @LDS4Life71 Alright. The rock is also Jesus, and is also Peter's faith. But it is also Peter himself, and we see in the Scriptures how Peter acts as the head of the Apostles, and we see the very first Christians who held Peter as one with great authority. Yes, revelation ceased, but their teaching and authority did not. Or else why would St. Paul ordain others to the ministry through the laying of the hands? Acts 6:6, Acts 13:3; 1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6, among many others...
