So the extremes goes both ways.
In the one hand, liberals are right: the other extreme makes it seem like "Ground Zero Mosque" will be built at Ground Zero.
But on the other hand, they are wrong: it is still near Ground Zero, and it is still in honor of the religion that calls this nation "The Great Satan."
Fine. Maybe not all Muslims think this way. Maybe it is a minority indeed.
But go make a building called "priests and little boys" and the liberals will be super alarmed and shout all non-sense anti-Catholic garbage claiming how priests have raped little boys.
Yet when it comes to this Muslim Mosque, liberals like Change.org are ready to pull out the dirty laundry (or I guess, in English, skeletons in the closet?) that Christians have, in order to prove how intolerant Christians and conservatives are...
Nonetheless, the point is this:
They say the Mosque should be built and how honoring this is and how it follows the constitution that the soldiers and people died to protect (hmm... And defending the religion that killed them?), and how this is simply doing the American thing because the first Amendment happens to be freedom of religion....
So how come this freedom of religion only applies to Muslims?
I mean... Abortion is offensive to me as a Catholic, and for virtually all Christians as well.
Or homosexuality, how come it is offensive to Christians and Jews and yet our rights are not defended here?
Why this double-standard, liberal?
So, they call Catholicism very intolerant and close-minded, and happily point at the crusades...
ReplyDeleteBut then when the Muslims are offended, even though there aren't any crusades today (but there are Jihads!), then we must be all nice and "tolerant" to them, but not to the Catholics...
If they only saw their own contradiction.
